Life of Balamani

Movie : Nandanam (2002)
Director : Ranjit

A perfect blend of innocence and maturity.. That is what Balamani is.. She is a strong devotee of Lord Krishna. She is as realistic as anyone could be, with a deep faith, belief and trust in Lord Krishna..

She is not a person to judge anybody upon the talks. Even though she had to work her ass off every single day, she never complained. The only thing she was upset about is that the lack of chances she wants to go to the famous temple near her current residence. When Manu, the grandson of her boss enters the scene, her innocence and attitude were the things draw him towards her. Not even Manu, but the whole family was really fond of her.

When they had to let go of their love, Balamani was braver than Manu. And all these while when she felt like falling apart, she always finds solace in Lord Krishna. When she found a friend, whom she believed to her neighbor’s son, she never expected things to turn out to some fantasy. But it did. After getting the happily ever after she dreamed, she soon realises the reality happened. For a girl who never got to visit the temple, she was overwhelmed with the realisation.. When she says,
“ഞാനേ കണ്ടുള്ളൂ.. ഞാൻ മാത്രേ കണ്ടുള്ളൂ...”(I have seen.. I only saw..)
It’s shows how overwhelmed she is to witness the miracle. She was tricked into a fantasy, but a beautiful fantasy.. The one she could cherish forever!!
